This week the Theatre Department will proudly present The Birds –  one of the oldest Greek comedies (414 B.C.). The play is a biting political satire that examines how social systems fail those they are meant to serve and the utopian desire that something better may be just around the corner. This contemporary adaptation by award-winning playwright Yvette Nolan offers a Canadian perspective on the text. Along with Kenn McLeod, a Regina born / international director and physical theatre performer, the play delivers an energetic and visually stunning tour de force.
